See How Videatives Benefit Students
As a college professor your students will benefit from your use of videatives.
- Download or order videatives on a CD and display them to students from a video projector, or let your students download their own copy from a server.
- Use our free Videatives VideoFinder service to help you identify video clips to match the topics in your syllabus.
- Ask us about hosting the videatives you ordered on our server at www. videatives.com.
- Ask Dr. George Forman and Dr. Ellen Hall to facilitate an online segment of your favorite course in early childhood education or child development.
- Use the Rich Video Clip (an uninterrupted video clip included in the folder downloaded) to generate lively classroom discussions with a clear focus.
- Use videatives to help students identify the goals, strategies and theories inherent in children’s investigations.
- Use videatives to support students in making connections between theory and practice
- Use the Rich Video Clip to evaluate students’ learning.
Using videatives in conjunction with my lecture topics, I find it an effective and engaging way to help students connect child development theories to practice. The video clips of real-life teacher-child and child-child interactions provide for in-depth discussions and opportunities for reflection. While general videos are awkward to work with, the format of videatives allows me to set the pace of my classes and replay the clips as needed. The variety, ease of use and professional layout of videatives are a great resource for me! The written text was very helpful and made the concepts that students were reading about in their textbooks that much more explicit. Because each student is unique, the videatives accommodated their different learning styles.
